I started shaping in Brookvale Sydney under the watchful eye of master craftsman Col Ladhams, not only did I get taught by him, but had the privilidge to watch, learn and help him with the international labels he shapes for (Lost, Webber, HIC, Element). One of the most important lessons I have been taught is how to use a planer and the understanding and criticalness of surfboard design which I work on and learn daily.

The Misfit factory is in Brookvale. All shaping and glassing are kept in house so I can keep a good eye on production and quality control. I have the perfect office with a nice big lounge where we can sit and discuss the design of your next finely tuned blade.

To me being a shaper is all about progression, always thinking about future designs and not being content on perfecting mediocrity. All MISFIT boards are hand shaped so you know it is especially made for you and your surfing in mind.
